Description
I wore this Pagh Vala silk ivory shervani, with thread embroidery and delicate pearl bead work to my Gurdwara wedding. Its simplicity made it feel regal without being harsh or over the top. The fully lined shervani fit me like a glove, enhancing my broad shoulders and allowing me to stand tall. There is approx an 1.5inch of material on the inside for adjustments. The back of it was embellished from the shoulders till the mid chest with the same thread work and beading with the addition of two peacocks at the end. This allowed for me to sit easy at the gurdwara whilst still in keeping the regal sophisticated theme. The shervani was paired with a light kurta shirt to go under neath, and light cotton silk elasticated waist bottoms. The outfit also accompanies an embroidered belt.
I wore this shervani with a blush velvet phalla and pagh. Although we are not including this with the item, the neutral, muted tones of the outfit means it can be adorned with many different colours and so can be paired with any colour of your choice.
