Meet Anila
My item is a green velvet lengha with light gold embroidery, paired with a mint green dupatta with a green velvet border. I wore this only once to my sisters wedding back in 2019. Since then the outfit has been packed in its original Asopalav bag. I went to India with my sister for her wedding shopping and I only wanted to buy a green and gold lengha for a wedding. I wanted a regal look hence went for something in velvet. The outfit received so much attention on the big day as it looked very elegant. The style/fit of the lengha is more A line with some flare, it doesn’t have a lots of flare to it. The blouse would fit a size 6, but there’s room to open the sides up to accommodate bigger sizes (see images). The blouse does have some cracked embroidery from putting the fabric under a sewing machine (see images). It is a beautiful heavy lengha and it’s taken a lot to get to the stage of thinking about selling it, as it’s a special piece to me. However I have no upcoming events where I could wear this and feel it’s time for someone else to wear it with pride!
